Program release news... Latest LSS v9.70.18, Latest LSS Beta v9.75.15

January 29th:- New command for testing in 'Beta' called 'Output Surface Boundaries' which will allow the creation of formation models for export to Machine Control. What it does is allows the user to generate links slightly inside the boundary of heighted surfaces and then when exported drops all points and links doen to the base of the surface, thereby creating a formation model. There are many other uses, but at this stage we are hoping that users of Machine Control will download and test this before we commit to the main LSS v9.80 release in the coming days.
October 26th:- The page formatting issues that were being experienced by some users have now been solved. If you notice anything unusual with the layout of a page then please let us know what page it is you were on and what Internet browser and version you are using.
October 22nd:- Windows 7 is launched. Over the past several months we have been testing Windows 7 and have put together an article on our experiences. And just today the BBC's Tim Webster has written about his trials and tribulations. The excellent article describes how porting from older operating systems can be fraut with difficulties, but if you have the time and inclination it would appear that the benefits are worth it. October 20th:- The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors have opened their registration site for those wishing to attend the XCES Exhibition. Held on the 2nd & 3rd of March 2010 they aren't hanging around. You'll be able to see LSS at the show which will be the second year that we have attended this event. October 7th:- We have received some reports from visitors to this site that they have been unable to register on the downloads page. Our web designers are looking into this, but they seem to be exclusively affecting Internet Explorer v6 only.
