As we all hurtle uncontrollably towards Christmas, it is hoped that everyone gets at least some time to relax with friends and family before yet another hectic year beckons.

The McCarthy Taylor office will close at about midday on Friday 21st December and will re-open at 9:00am on Wednesday 2nd January. During this time a voicemail service will operate, but we cannot guarantee to get back to you before the office re-opens. See below for details of how you can get help during this period.

We'd like to take this opportunity to wish all our clients and contacts a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Just because the office is closed, it doesn't mean that there's no technical support available. This year for the first time we will be offering a skeleton technical support service on 24th, 27th, 28th and 31st December via our Forum. We will be setting-up a temporary support section into which you can post technical queries. The service will operate from 9:00am to 3:30pm (GMT) on the above dates, though email and telephone support will be suspended during this time.

Of course, your first port of call should be the on-screen Help and tutorials inside LSS, or existing threads on our Forum. And if you haven't already seen our 'Rough Guides' section on the Forum you may be missing out on some practical and useful material.

A large number of users have been testing the latest Beta version over the past few weeks and we continue to update the program regularly. Most new development is taking place in the Beta version, so we'd recommend you visit the downloads section of our website and take a look at the Beta readme for details of what we have been working on.

A big thank you to our small band of Beta testers who were trialling the Automatic Update service. As they will know, we have temporarily suspended this service as we encountered problems with the security settings on large corporate networks.

We have begun a complete rewrite of the code in-house which will provide much more feedback to the user in helping them configure these security settings. This functionality was sadly lacking in the off-the-shelf solution we bought to do the job.
