Equivalent to LSS Vista, but with a 10,000 point per model survey limit, LSS PASS is available to police organisations who perform accident surveys on a non-commercial basis. PASS is a complete accident investigation survey system, which is capable of downloading surveys from most EDM and GPS instruments. It will automatically produce a contoured scaled plan with user-definable line styles and symbols. All surveyed objects such as trees, kerbs, hedges, street furniture, road markings, skid marks, vehicles and debris may be surveyed and represented to scale on the plan. Exchange drawings with other CAD systems and produce final quality scaled drawings on any Windows printer or plotter. The 3D fly-through facility further enhances the flexibility of the system as a presentation and investigation tool.

For two and a half
decades McCarthy Taylor has been providing quality land survey and
terrain modelling software and since the late 1980's has counted many
of the country's police collision investigators amongst its hundreds
of users who have been utilising it for the generation of site
plans.
PASS, which stands for Police Accident Survey System
has functionality equivalent to our commercial system - LSS Vista,
but with a 10,000 point per survey limit. Until recently this has
proved more than adequate for most uses, but with the growing
interest in 3D visualisation, line of sight analysis and the use of
Ordnance Survey MasterMap Street level mapping and aerial photography
it is clear that the requirements of collision investigation are
moving forward.
With this in mind, and in response to requests from a number of existing users, we have launched a bundled system called PASSPORT, which comprises a copy of LSS Elite and ten training credits. This means that for a single annual payment a collision investigation team will get a networkable copy of our top survey, modelling and analysis package, technical support, software updates and up to ten places on a workshop or five places on one of our regular land survey training courses (two credits per place). This way, any new member of the team will receive the best possible training both in LSS and survey techniques and the more experienced user will benefit from attending one or more of our workshops.
With quality assurance high on the list of priorities for users of PASS and LSS, there's little wonder our training courses are always popular, run as they are by experienced trainers with extensive survey experience.
Exclusive membership of the PASSPORT scheme enables those organisations with multiple users and/or offices, to purchase additional copies of the software along with extra training credits, all at the same attractive discount.
